Milena Govich
Milena Govich, director, actor and
musician, has directed numerous episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015), The
Equalizer (2021), FBI: Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012) among others.
Additionally, she was the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series
FBI (2018). She is currently a part of two pilots that are in development.
Milena was selected as one of the eight directors in AFI's prestigious
Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable was her TV series as well as a short
film. It starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort The film won the Best
Episodic Award at Seattle International Film Festival as well as the Best Pilot
award at the SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017)
was shown across the United States. She was awarded the the award for Best
Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta
ShortsFest. Also, the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film
Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 television episodes as an actor.
She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the
prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis
Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) is the Dick Wolf series, was her second big
character. It culminated in her being the Emmy-winning woman detective on Law
& Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or
Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter
(2014) have all featured her or had her in. Milena is also a part of several
movies, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she
starred opposite Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) The #Lucky Number
(2015) with the lead opposite Method Man; and the features Closure (2018), Be the
Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena is a Norman, Oklahoma native.
After graduating valedictorian from her high school she then went on to earn an
undergraduate degree in both singing and premed along with minors in dance and
violin at the University of Central Oklahoma. Soon after, Milena used her
classical ballet skills to take part in a show on Broadway in the Sam
Mendes/Rob Marshall production 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
